About this study
The aim of this study is to investigate the effects of a milk bioactive on mental wellness, physical performance and body composition on postmenopausal women aged 50-80 years old. More specifically, we want to see how it can improve stress and memory, increase physical function and decrease body fat and increase muscle mass.
Post-menopause is an important life stage that can span a third of a woman鈥檚 life. It is characterised by several mental and physical changes like stress and increased abdominal fat. These often occur alongside normal age-related changes like cognitive decline and loss of muscle mass.
When combined, these changes can have a cumulative, detrimental effect on a woman鈥檚 health. It is crucial we find ways to minimise the negative effects of post-menopause on a woman鈥檚 life.
We hope that results from this study will contribute to existing research and, more importantly, improve health outcomes for postmenopausal women.
